Trekking for vizzero
Other pleasant walks may take people to follow the panoramic path of Piagge and reach Casa Calistri through Trogoni. For those who enjoy easy excursions, leaving the main hamlets you may reach Orsigna in Tuscany and then go back to Vizzero following the path along the river
There is a path through chestnut woods that connects Poggignocco (mt 863) to Vizzero with a suggestive view of the valley.
From Poggignocco you can easily reach Orsigna (mt 806) by an asphalted road.
Frequently the overhanging mountains may be covered with snow until May.
From Orsigna you may go down to Cassero (mt 676) on the linking road to Prachia, following the Orsigna river.
At the crossroad of Cassero you may turn left going back to Emilia Romagna.
In these places once there was the border of the Grand Duchy of Tuscany and the Papal State .
Going up for about 1500 meters the road reaches Vizzero again at 780 mt
